Welcome to my latest video on Youtube, (see link below).
In a world rich with spiritual traditions, the veneration of saints often shines as a beacon of devotion and faith. Yet, is it possible that this practice is a spiritual trap that diverts us from the true essence of our beliefs?
At the heart of this discussion lies the figure of the Apostle Peter, often celebrated as the first pope and the alleged foundation of the papacy. But what did Peter himself say about the source of our faith? In the Gospel of Matthew, Peter boldly declares Jesus to be the Messiah, leading to Jesus’ proclamation: ‘You are Peter, and on this rock, I will build my church.’ But who is this rock? Is it Peter himself or the truth of Christ?
While the veneration of saints can foster a sense of community, we must ask ourselves: does it lead us closer to Christ, or does it create a barrier between the believer and the Savior?
Join me as we explore how the veneration of saints may distract from the core message of the Gospel and the teachings of Peter himself—pointing us back to Christ, the true foundation of our faith. Together, let’s uncover the truth and rediscover the rock on which our faith is built.
